Bakolle FFS cocoa nursery farm

 

Unlike the FFS of Nyandong, the FFS of Bakolle came to existence in October 11^th 2011. Being a new school in a pretty unenlightened and heterogeneous community, they have taken a bold step to begin an awareness campaign in the village to involve many ignorant tribesmen through modular trainings. Presently the enrolment is 15 and a well managed demonstration farm has been established containing close to three thousand nursed seedlings of cocoa. Their aim is to raise some income from the sales of this production to facilitate the realization of some small scheme projects.

Already a group of cocoa farmers have been following their work so keenly and have gained helpful insights from the nursery unit. The production unit has been named by the local people as the reference center for quality cocoa nursery.
